Recommendations
These weight specifications are only indicative and provide a general basis.
Glove size selection also depends on purpose (intensity, frequency, type of training) and desired protection (the heavier the glove, the more layers of foam and more protection).
It is also necessary to take into account the model and brand. of boxing gloves – each series has its own characteristics and fit. See product specification for more information.
Don't hesitate to ask your trainer for advice.
What does “oz” mean?
“Oz” or “ounce” is a unit of measurement that shows the weight of the glove.
Heavier gloves provide more protection for both you and your training partner than lighter gloves. Depending on the use, you can choose a lighter glove (for example 10 oz for competition) or a heavier glove (for example, 16 oz for sparring or partner rounds), regardless of body weight.
