Rahsguards run small. We recommend choosing one size up for a fitted fit or two sizes up for a looser fit.
A rashguard is an athletic shirt made of spandex and nylon or polyester. The name rashguard reflects that the shirt protects the wearer from rashes caused by abrasion, or by sunburn from prolonged exposure to the sun. Rashguards are believed to have originated in Australia, where they are often called "rashies", and were initially developed for water sports such as surfing, diving, snorkeling, wakeboarding, etc. Variations of the rashguard have spread to other sports, including baseball, American football, water polo, grappling, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, and MMA.
