The design is inspired by traditional Japanese samurai armor, particularly the Joroi, and includes elements such as the shikoro (neck guard), jodare kake (neck guard) and kusazuri (hanging armor plates at the waist). The forearm and hand protection are inspired by the kote, protective sleeves worn by samurai.
